Typography, Branding, Illustration, Print Design
This product was created in efforts to showcase my research pertaining to the history and anatomy of Jim Parkinson's typeface, Amador. In order to accomplish this project a research paper was conducted and fit to a custom layout ideal for delivering detailed information. The synopsis of identifying this typeface was to determine whether or not Amador is a successful typeface for modern use. With the aide of spreadsheets, color treatment, hierarchy, print, and layout design, the product and content serves as an engaging conversational piece for any person who comes across it.
My research went as far as rendering of several new letters, which mimicked the craft and technique that the artist, himself, used when styling this family of fonts.
